Malwina Rzonca

Born in 1973, lives and works in Krakow. She is an interdisciplinary artist. She studied painting at the  Academy of Fine  Arts in Krakow, and modern dance in the Experimental Dance Studio EST .
Her creative quest includes new and old media, activities in the fields of painting, video art, performance, modern dance, installations and site-specific interventions. In the field of her interests there is the issue of body and identity and real world observations. Her works were presented at many exhibitions and festivals in Poland and abroad (Germany , Belgium, Hungary, France, Spain, Russia, the Czech Republic). She was awarded at international choreographic competitions, in Kalisz (1999) and in Prague (2003). During the Young Art Biennale Fisheye 4 her project was honoured with an individual exhibition in the Baltic  Art Gallery (Cosmic Pictures 2007).
