Sea Space
Sea containers are a typical element, unambiguously associated with the sea landscape which is also identified with Szczecin which may be proud of having a port within its territory. We have given a new function to these characteristic objects: set along the main communication routes of Szczecin they will become mini-galleries and mini-cinemas.
These specific cultural objects will enable the realisation of two kinds of artistic activities: on one hand the complete multimedia material kept inside – pictures and sounds (an exhibition of Aleksandra Kubiak's works) whereas on the other hand their outside forms (illuminations realised by graffiti artists) – that will become a unique element absorbed into the city space. In the project presented there will be an attempt to change the image of central points of the city into places derived from art. Going outside the scheme of a piece of art closed inside a Gallery they will transform into places of art to be entered both by artists but also by random
recipients of the art.
