Aleksandra Markowska – a graduate from the Higher School of Art and Design in Łodź, a finalist of Off Fashion, Prowokacje, Idą Młodzi competitions, a winner of Złoty guzik Boruty competition in £êczyca and Future in Fashion. Polscy młodzi Projektanci vol.1 contest. An inspiration for the collection called Signed with femininity is womanhood, a remarkable woman, a self-confident one. A warrior woman, who fights for the survival of her femininity. The fascination with woman derives from the past. A collection is made for women who are conscious of their femininity, who want to emphasize their individual style and exceptional sex-appeal. Each outfit presents apparent minimalism and sophisticated aesthetics. The collection has got neither the beginning nor the end, it is a journey across a female body. The outfits are elegant, but with a bit of leeway. The usage of high quality fabrics – out of natural fibers, such as silk, wool, cotton, brings the feeling of comfort during wearing. While creating the collection, I was also inspired by the fabric. The contact with it, fastening it on a mannequin was, in most cases, a starting point for a project, it was the fabric that decided upon the shape and the character of an outfit. I also wanted to tell something about the extremely complicated feminine psyche with the use of wrinkling and fastening the fabric. I was trying to show an image of a mysterious and at the same time strong woman, who is conscious of her femininity. I wanted to present the female beauty through the sculpture created around the body. A woman in her life plays many roles, some of which are male ones. Jackets, which used to constitute an element of the male clothing, also appear in my collection. Hand-painted gloves, cobalt shoes and tights are standing out from the composed colouring. I used the cobalt colour as it is intensive, still not heavy. It beautifully cooperated with other colours. It adorns, even in a small dosage. My collection is addressed to the demanding and conscious women with the established view on the fashion, who like to stand out the crowd.
