An artistic group called Pinkhaus was created in 2008. We set it up as the students of the second and the third year of the Art Education Faculty at  PWSZ in Głogów. Today there is five of us: Kamila Tkacz, Beata Pleban, Marzena Sikora, Aleksandra Cwynar and Martyna Kisiel.

Our common interest in modern art and fashion contributed to the organization of art workshops for children called pink events, which are done at school and with the contribution of the lecturers. We had a chance to take part in the outdoor classes run by mgr Izabela Jędrulak-Mocur, who is engaged in recycling in fashion. The classes were based on the modern vintage stylization. We have decided to continue the idea, which is why we started to organize our own photographic sessions stylized on '50s, ‘60s and ‘70s. Six dresses are made out of unconventional materials. The first one is made out of old newspapers rolled out in 169 rolls and 850 pellets glued on the cloth. The second is created from minimized X-sktyray pictures fastened to a wire frame. The third dress is made out of an offset sheet. Metal plates cut out in the shapes of little rectangles, rolled with the unpolished side to the inside are placed on the metal sphere construction. The fourth dress is made out of bottle caps and pills packages. The caps constitute a corset and the silver leaves from the pills packages create a skirt.

Those dresses were created for a BA thesis by Marzena Sikora. The whole is inspired by recycling in art, and is to correspond to the new and unconventional ways of using waste materials. The fifth and the sixth dress are designed and realized for the contest. They were made out of white paper rolled out in rolls and beer safety pins.
